David, the railway lines of Gwalior city in a map like this http://www.mapsofindia.com/maps/madhyapradesh/gwalior.htm were always confusing to me because BG and NG were not clearly marked. Thanks for clearing the confusion.

Vivek, Gwalior has always been important in history (Tansen was from here) and more so since the Scindias took over in the 18th century. And with the coming of the Railways, the Scindia State Railway (Narrow gauge) had the town as a hub with lines radiating to Sheopur Kalan, Bhind and Shivpuri.

Thanks for sharing. Looks nice, although the digits 22001 appear mis-aligned. Also read on IRFCA that the rake of Sapthagiri had many non-liveried coaches. I hope they get the full train in 1 livery!

This one also has the Laloo haircut as pointed out by Anamitra

One of the nine dedicated painters giving final touches to this gleaming old brute for its "inauguration" on 17-4-2009

The WAG-5/7 type MU cables destroy the aero-dynamic shape of the P-1/4 Series nose, but for the push pull operation, they are necessary. Could not have they have done the same recessed type of MU arrangement of the earlier P-3's?

Rearranged cabs of WAP1 22001: switch panel is now at left, MP is more centred and the meters are to the right. Speedo and brake

I see a new addition to AJJ, WAP-4 22792 ahead

This is a great livery. At least much better from the standard red and yellow. will make this beast more photogenic.

This livery is gonna rock, but I think paint job is not up to the mark compared to other AJJ wappies. It can be much much better.

The Sapthagiri livery looks really good on WAP1.It will be nice to see the MAS TPTY Sapthagiri Express being hauled by WAP1 after being hauled by WAM4 for so many years. Thanks for sharing the photographs.
