Took three shots of the same. this turned out to be the best. what i did was simply use auto exposure, and reduce it by 1 or so. the image perhaps isn't so clear due to the use of the add on telephoto converter lens.

Is this CR or is it DHR ?
The assistant was 'placing' fists of sand on the rail surface to increase the adhesion for the wheel slipping loco.

The locos are oriented LHF-SHF, are these the same locos that came with the same train earlier? Or have they been pushed over from a freighter? Usually twin loco links for a regular train are properly oriented and lashed up as it is a continous link.

Krinish, this is a turnout (point) for this narrow gauge track. Its not like regular turnouts. Here, the centre portion, the track with the chamfered end, can be turned to either side, enabling trains to be switched to either track.

An example of IR's efficient use of old material. The mast is the standard, taller AC type. The uppermost suspending bar is actually a DC mast part being reused. The lower arm suspending the contact wire is the AC design ofcourse.
