That lever is used to spray water on the front windshield / glass and also activate the wipers. That white PVC tank that can be seen on the extreme right lower side contains water that gets sprayed. Samar I think you should " go forth where no man has gone before" and try out all the lever and switches that you find to be mysterious ! ;-)

Hmmm...quite interesting, so then what will happen if I pull the liver facing downward near the tank at 110 kmph.

That happens to be an ejactor lever. Unauthorised people are hurled out of the loco when that lever is operated !

That lever pointing downwards which is next to the white PVC tank ( which contains water that is sprayed on the wind shield) is used to isolate the front BP and FP angle valves. This needs to be done incase they are damaged due to cattle run over.
