In terms of Achieveing,From IRFCA Mailing List someone has experienced Patna Rajdhani which has MPS of 130 kmph achieving 142 kmph speed.Don't know how he calculated speed but its possible to take out the speed of a train.Raj's achieve speed irrespective of their Maximum Permissible Speed. INCREMENTS!!!! Deepak,how can our dear Rajdhanis travel at 140 Kmph???The number of Manned & Unmanned LCs,Cattle,Rail Rokos,Careless jaywalkers etc , make it difficult for these trains to achieve this speed especially for cult trains like the Legendary Howrah Rajdhani Express.FOG is another major factor for these trains in winters as they are of Northern Routes. 1969 hwh rajdhani express achieved 120 kmph...but in year 2009 all rajdhani does not exceed 140 kmph...so in very long journey there is no increments in speed.... Posted by deepak verma (guest) on 2009 May 27 14:13:03 +0000 |

Laxman, Is LGD shed going to recieve any WAP 5 as well considering other two types of 3 phase locos are already maintained here.
