IMHO, the turnout is not set from loop-line to main-line. Had that been the case then 12020 would have been admitted on loop line from main line. Please note that both the points in a pair are set either to normal or reverse.

Karan, if you are referring to the gap near the link rail (with a flange), then that gap is permanent and will remain like that, irrespective of postion of the point.

@Krupa: At first glance it looks like the turnout is set towards mainline but look closely at the track farther from camera, the gap there makes me feel the point is correctly set towards dead end to "catch" the train if the LP overshoots the signal.

Turn out is 'clear' for 12039, if LP overshoots signal than it derails on main line and head on collision with in coming train!!!
Is it usual phenomena to clear the line but to keep signal on 'danger'?
