IMHO, the turnout is not set from loop-line to main-line. Had that been the case then 12020 would have been admitted on loop line from main line. Please note that both the points in a pair are set either to normal or reverse.

Karan, if you are referring to the gap near the link rail (with a flange), then that gap is permanent and will remain like that, irrespective of postion of the point.
