Mumbai - DC to AC Conversion, February 5, 2012

Well everyone is gung-ho about WAPx entering Mumbai. But sadly we have to bid adieu over a short period of time to the most complex electric loco ever made..the WCAM-1 :-(

One of the final days of WCAM-2's rule over WR's premiere trains captured in unparalleled style.. Cracker of a shot man! \m/

Always wanted to see this comparison! IR's longest BG electric loco, WCAM-1 and shortest one WAP-5 in single frame.. :)

Thanks for the photograph, Akshay.

A great photograph !!!

I wish if IR preserve all its locos (either steam, diesel or electric) in front of every railway station instead of scrapping them !

Deadly shot, Aadil! Look at everyone staying away from the edge of the platform as the Rajdhani rips through!

I've seen boards stating "Unwired Turnouts". But does this one imply that the OHE over points 103, 104 is not charged, and probably serves as a "unusable" Neutral Section due to the restricted speed over them resulting in a probable stalling??

True, the old need not always give in to the new. Both can co-exist together, as the WCAM-1s still have some life left in them.
