This is magnificant WCM1 Jumbo. I am a great fan of this loco. I am thankful Vijay BAlasubramanian for this beautiful photograph. The great season for travel Bhore ghat is Aug-sept when one can see the loco cutting the curtain of clouds. If its DQ its too beautiful.

Is this crowd a normal day-to-day scene or was the overcrowding due to some event?

Deccan Queen the pride and soul of Central Railways. Even one ride by the
Queen is a most pleasurable and pleasent
experience. In July-Aug you get the best
veiw of the Ghats. Breazy cool and comfortable. An experience that I will
cherish and never forget.

My sinceare and passonate request please
keep this train running as it is. Help
preserve our steam heritage. A couple of
steam trains can surely also be a good Tourist Attraction. It is a Lovely feeling to travel by one of them. Keep it up.

Mr.Palkar

The famous Manmad Junction. Now everything is Broad Gauge. 15 years ago
you had Meter gauge coming in from
Hy-bad and BG passing from VT to Nagpur
A little before independance the MG from
Hyderabad was NIZAM Railways. Even today
so many railway & road crossings on this
MG route still have the same metal gates
with the emblem NR that is Nizam Rail.

Bhusaval a very, very important junction
There is a huge Rail colony at Bhusaval
In the steam days Bhusaval used to have one of the finest steam loco sheds and maintainance crews in India.
