Alok,
I think it is the curve just before Durk (after crossing the Seonath river while coming from Nagpur direction). If I remember correctly, the Darekesa - Dongargarh section was definately more hilly

From the gaurd rail and the tight turn I can tell that this is between Darekasa and Dongargarh on the Nagpur Durg section. The place has a ghat section which really looks great during the monsoons.

Sunny, if you look at the far end of this coach, you can see a door (near the lamp post). This is the entry for the guard.

Also, this color scheme for the Gen Car is deliberate. It can be used freely with the Rajdhani as well as Shatabdi trains. Better than having a completely mismatched Generator car...

this loco actually came second in the freight category at the beauty contest in april 2003 at NDLS. the winner was a modified WAG7 from Kanpur (CNB).

GZB WAP1 "Babasaheb" was winner in the passenger category followed by "Rajhans" a WAP4E from BRC.

The Generator car has been in grey livery with red and blue strips so that it can be used both in Rajdhani and Shatabdi Rakes, therefore easy to match!

Sunny, the WDS4b has three sets of wheels. From a distance it looks like four because one is a flywheel which runs the other three sets with the help of shafts(not sure the name given to them-same drive as used in a steam loco).

The road numer of this loco is 22008 and not 22005. This loco was the icon of Indian Railways for several years

Sorry, by mistake I uploaded a few photographs without the caption (the filenames somehow didn't get captured as captions)...but have re-loaded these photographs. In any case, this is the LTT- Madgaon Jan Shatabdi...and I must say, for the cheap fare (Rs 197 or so) between LTT and Madgaon (around 580 kms), this seating rake is simply too good.
