Woow, great snaps. 22580 seems to be the latest WAP 4 in the Erode stable.

I remember, once i was travelling by the DQ to Pune ( I think it was 1st Jan'04), & just the DQ was halted at MHC for quite a while, as there was a goods train ahead of us. At MHC, we were diverted on the centre track sight upto LNL.

Udit, the 2nd (middle) coach in the photo is not a 2A coach but a pantry car - identifiable by a single door at one end. As for the maroon livery on the 3A coach - these coaches started life in this livery - the dark blue/light blue livery was made standard only a few yrs later. Also, some 3A coaches have been converted back to VB for some VB trains and these retain the old maroon livery.

You are better off. I was issued a luggeage slip for the excess fare by reservation office MAO, for travelling from BCT to BRC on Paschim exp way back in 1993. It had a stamp of the resvn. office, hence I could convince the TC on the train.

Xian,

The driver was not worried about having a run over type of accident, we are at quite a safe distance from his train. He was upset at being photographed. Some of the IR is like that.
