Indeed, we can see where we came from!! Must be thinking these humans drove me out from Mumbai and now they're chasin me down to my hill!! What a wonderful sight!! Beautiful scenery and nature and one of God's most brilliant creations!!

This loco was a contender for the beauty contest held in Apr 2003. Note the missing grille/window on the flank, the door had been fitted there and the original door was a fitted with a full length plexiglass screen (fixed). Now it seems the modifications have been removed.

Jimmy,
You're absolutely right. My earliest memory is being taken " to see the engine"-which was steam then. Apparently, I burst into tears, and was taken onto the footplate to mollify me. I think I have spent my life trying to compensate for this initial fear!

WAP-1's are one of the best engines india and probably asia it has yo run all over the country. i have never seen
a wap-1 run in the tamilnadu section
