Yes that's correct. The Raj has MPS of 120kmph on the SC-KZJ Section, however some sections have lower permamnent restrictions like this one.

Yes, this is a Speed Restriction for the Rajdhani. The territory must be capable of 115 to 120. Hence this board.

This is a Switch Expansion Joint. Expansion is not really contained on LWR but is minised. This is why these SEJs are needed. You will find them all over LWR territory.

Also, this particular joint seems to have two types of rails. I feel that the two rails have different dimensions. One of them might be 60 KG and the other might be 52. Am not sure of this though.

Hey, I too was at Ooty almost the same time. Maybe we met in the train. BTW, there is no rack between Ooty and Coonoor. Also, the Coonoor-Mettupalayam rack uses ABT (Absolute Biting Teeth) system and not Rigi rack
