This is one of the three AJJ shed locos that work the push pull MAS-TPTY-MAS Saptagiri express. Note the special MU connector below the letters '6PD' that is used to drive this loco from a remote cab in the front. The loco is at the rear of the Saptagiri rake when leaving Chennai for Tirupati.

The sign on the left is for raising the pantograph. The sign on the right instructs the driver to close the DJ (main circuit breaker) and power up the loco.

This is an Audio Frequency Track Circuit choke. It is a better version of the usual track circuit system used. The frequencies measured are the ones that are being sent through the rails as current. The cables you see conneced to the track are the ones related to this Track Circuit. The equipment belongs to Siemens I think.
