The hills look nice! Wonder whether there is a road to go up. Someone can go there and take stunning snaps of JTJ. BTW, the diesel in the background is a GTL WDM?

I remember Nira used to be the only station with the best canteen facilities between Pune and Miraj. Also, one can find vendors selling some fresh fruits, specially figs. Thanks for the recall.

Yes Apurva, this is the camera I won at the Asian Photography journal awards in May this year. It is rapid! I shot 16 frames at 6Mpx of this set when they were charging thru at 75kmph!

I think it is a rope used to pull the Pantograph
and align with the overhead cable, should it come out
while negotiating points etc. Not sure if it had conducting
wire..

This is a single coach tram, that use to ply in the routes around Howrah. one of them have been refurbished and serves as a tourist Tram now a days. There are twin cabs on both sides, with passenger seating space in the middle.
