See the conductor wire hanging from a long Pantograph at the back of the Tram. Also notice the tiny Tail-Light. Its really amazing to see that perhaps with little or no maintenance the Tramways vehicle is still surviving.

It is also sad that many tram routes have been stopped and only very few routes are still in operation.

I think it is a rope used to pull the Pantograph
and align with the overhead cable, should it come out
while negotiating points etc. Not sure if it had conducting
wire..
