The loco was baking in the blazing sun with temperature around 42 at that time. Looks like the paint is going to melt.

Yeah I will provide some snaps on interiors soon. In fact this photo also is not up to the mark as I just clicked passing by, from car window. The blazing sun has eaten the domes.

Lovely pic.. but have they changed the timings? This train leaves immediately for MDU. The passenger from MDU used to reach Bodi at around 5.40 pm.

As far as I'm aware and of what I recall, this class of loco was very much in service on WR (Bandra shed) all the way till the mid to late 80's. Also, I think this class entered service well before the 70's - JL Daboo's book should be able to confirm that fact. Obviously DLW hasnt paid heed to what its original livery was - theyve simply gone and slapped on a run of the mill contemporary livery - a shame!
