Bharat, how come your camera / images do not spew the EXIM data? It is sometimes hard to appreciate a good picture without any recourse to the fundamentals!

Hauling dead weights is apparently quite common. A few years ago Visakha Express had to run via KZJ due to flooding on tracks in the Bibinagar-Guntur route. It was hauled by a BZA WAM-4 with a dead KZJ WDM-2 in the end. At BZA, the WDM-2 was fired up while the WAM-4 was detached. So, the above picture is not really an extraordinary one but certainly a good capture of this practice.
