Karan, the KSK via Pune when intitially started had a WDP4 link. Then for some unknown reason, the link changed to a WDM3A, an an occasional WDG3A as well. Its back with a WDP4 now. Posted by Kharad Zarir Variyava on 2009 Aug 24 09:28:16 +0000 |

This is one of the best photos of this type I've ever seen, even on FC. Good work. Posted by Alok Patel on 2009 Aug 24 08:50:09 +0000 |

Thats right these are meant for Tanks and other armored vehicles. One can see them in large numbers at Babina stn on NCR. Projected Triangular shaped members also have arrangement for putting metal chains to secure the loads during transit. Also notice these flat cars have 3x2 axles as opposed to usual 2x2 for supporting higher loads. Posted by Anant K Singh on 2009 Aug 24 02:58:51 +0000 |

Absolute Beauty! Just loved to see my favorite loco, toiling hard on the plains of WR, amidst the lush green ghats! :) Posted by Karan Desai on 2009 Aug 24 02:27:23 +0000 |

Harish, CR Day train liveried coaches up north are thanks to the Taj Express, which had that livery, because it was a Cr train initially. Now Taj is a NCR train, and that livery stuck with it for quite some time...not sure of the exact status now. Probably NR/NCR will be painting the coaches back to the standard AB livery as and when they come in for a OH.
