WAG 6 technical sheet indicates that these locos use Thyristor Chopper technology with independent excitation for motors. In this case notching would not be present as semiconductors would control excitation of motor under variable load by varying excitation voltage. Excellent capture!!KSK is almost regular now with WDP4,the WDM3A were being used because some WDP4's got transferred to SGUJ and about 10 locos are going to MAS for Pandian and company,eventually KSK lost it's usual WDP4 link!! Posted by Shishir Jairam on 2009 Aug 25 04:00:48 +0000 |
Undoubtedly one of the best shots from Shindawane. Very well done. I can see 2 other guys on the other side of the viaduct. Let's have their photographs from the other side too!
Incidentally, I have been wanting to get this exact shot since a year now, but never found the time.
