1931 Madras - Villupuram

And this explains why stations from Beach to Kodambakkam have codes starting with M (MSB, MSF, MPK, MS, MSC, MKK). All these were considered as part of the Madras City. Mambalam and Saidapet were outside the city limits under Saidapet municipality.

1931 Villupuram - Trichinopoly Chord

DSY is most definitely Dhanushkody. Also, the code for Kandambakkam is KDMD - it gets explained now. This station has had a different name earlier! (Kandamanadi)

Bombay Local Ad copy.jpg

very interesting pic. looks to be an 8 coach rake made up with 2 units with 2 motor coaches for each unit. These must have been taken off much before 1980 since i do not remember such a combination. and where are the cowcatchers? ;-)

Great image Jimmy. You can't get such clear skies. This image clearly shows that you don't need high definition cameras only for taking good snaps/videos. You require a clear shinning pollution free atmosphere for getting good images/videos.
