very interesting pic. looks to be an 8 coach rake made up with 2 units with 2 motor coaches for each unit. These must have been taken off much before 1980 since i do not remember such a combination. and where are the cowcatchers? ;-)

Akshay, The board says V.T. (Main). This must be a slow local to Bombay V.T. clicked just at the point where the slow line via Mumbra and Diva branches off from the fast line via the Parsik tunnel.

Yes, the location does seem to be parsik tunnel. Can anyone please tell me what is written on the destination board? I am sounding repetitive, but looking at the pic I just cant stop wondering that if we could have such a fantastic build quality decades...
