For all practical purposes, there is a 30 kph speed restriction at that point. Pantographs are still lowered and raised. The mainline track has a groove cut into it by the flanges of the crossing wheels. The major benefit has been significantly lower maintenance. A similar (but less complex) crossing at Bhusawal has a far less restrictive speed limit of 75 kph.
