Stair case

AC coach would have a relatively fewer number of slightly better disciplined passengers than a non AC coach. If you have traveled by Flying Ranee, you would have seen more than 500 passengers in each DD coach, and the same width of the staircase. And even though we have many shoulders and bottoms rubbed (read Bharath Moro's trip report), thank God, we have not had major accidents as yet.

DD Full View 2

As usual, the finishing of the walls is not up to the mark.

Stair case

I wonder if it could have helped if the stairs were exclusively for going to the upper deck on one side and to the lower deck from the other side, instead of this narrow bi directional ones?

Upper Deck_1

Karan, this happens in normal AC Chair car too. Some lucky ones get a full window, some get only the wall.

Upper Deck_1

I really like whoever's brainchild it is to have opposite facing seats with each pair getting one big window. Bus style back-to-back seats in LHB Shatabdis result in some people getting a big part of the window and some unfortunate souls get a thick solid pillar blocking their view!
