SLR TTEs

Distances being short in SL, the same crew must be doing the Up and Down services, and still not exceeding the time limits proscribed.

SLR Fare board CMB

Waiting eagerly to see the Yal Devi to Jaffna included in this list. This is one of the famous named trains of Sri Lanka, which was bombed by the LTTE some years back, cutting off all rail links to the north. Restoration of the track is in progress.

Nice catch. Great colour scheme but the shape and the window grill doesn't appear as impressive as it's older version. Rightly said Alok.

I agree. They really need to switch back to the older design. This look is awful and completely out of character with the rest of the loco.

The various analogue gauges of the control stand are integrated into composite TFT panels. This has been mentioned under point # 20 in this document.
Also check point # 39 - the PIXI display mentioned therein is explained on this page.

Medha Servodrives in Hyderabad had this product on their website. Sadly their website is not online - http://www.medhaindia.com/

The roofmounted part may be the Anti-collision device (ACD) sensor - this loco is meant to go on the NEFR route where the ACD system is active. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti_Collision_Device
