Classic. Can you please disclose the method for scanning old photos/negatives/slides to such a superb quality? May be off-list.

Kharad, you are right. i tried to clean image with "Neatimage" (to the extent i could manage) as original image was in ISO 1250. Fuzziness at some points is resultant of that.

A more correct pronounciation would be Ilangai Pugai-Iratha Sevai. Ilangai - Lanka (as it is called in tamil) . Pugai - Smoke. Iratha - means Rath (or Chariot). (In Tamilnadu - in written literature trains, are referred as Pugai Vandi - here Vandi is a vehicle...). Sevai = Service....

Hey - This scene looks like from CNB-2008 (IIT-K) or from BNC-2009 (UTC, BNC). I am sure that the delegates must have enjoyed the discussions / deliberations and the surroundings too.

Eelanthai putgaiyiratha sevai?? I hope I have read properly. Can some body translate. It definitely does not directly translate to Sri Lankan Railways. The first two words in the sinhala script definitely says "Sri Lanka".

@Abhinav: The paint job is by DLW, not the sheds. These are new locos.
