KK Line refers to the 445 km long Kottavalsa-Kirandul iron ore carrying BG electrified single line running through the states of AP and Orissa.

the curves on the KK line are very sharp , the buffers are removed from the WAG5s as they can get locked with each other due to the sharp angle of the turn . For WAG6s this is not applicable as the distance between the locos after coupling is greater

the train was waiting for a crossing , i was using a long exposure and the headlight was very bright , thus spoiling the shot - so we asked the driver to shut it off for a few minutes

The glow effect of the twin headlights adds an aura of mystique to the loco.. This might be heading down towards the Raichur Thermal Power station.. Twin WAG5HAs might have brought this coal laden rake from GodavariKhani(Singareni Collieries)

True, SC has lots of AC Action. At one point of time, you will find a WAP5, WAP4, WAG5HA, WAM4p/6PD, all idling away together.. By the way, the AC Coach at the far end is the AC Chair car coach of the Golkonda.. Has been lying ther efrom the past 3 odd weeks...
