The station is located just after the Sharda canal bridge and is the last station of Lucknow district on this line. The next station is Safedabad which lies in my ancestral district, Barabanki.

Yes, Bharat is right. I have seen previously some pics of this region. The pics were were of MG section from GKP - GD - LKO - bareily, Lalkuan. correct me if i am wrong.

yes i agree with you. it has been named after some englishmen. This MG line was built when britishers were ruling the country.

The English and Hindi name for the place are different is it? The Hindi name sounds proper Indian unlike the English name which seems to indicate that the place has been named after some Englishman.
