WAP 1 with patna raj

Seems HWH is the only WAP-4 holding shed to paint "Bharathiya rail" on the side panels..Others settle for the serial number alone.

Certainly it would have been a great picture if Giridhar was fortunate enough to position himself. Nevertheless, a good shot of Mued WAG-6Cs having a Co-Co bogie arrangement. As for the sanders, if I remember the two middle ones serve two wheels whereas the two extreme ones serve one wheel each. Jimmy, did you notice how closely WAG-6C bogie is related to WAG-7 and WDG-2/3 series? Did RDSO use this bogie design?

The bogies look strange. Doesn't all WAG6 a/b/c series have Bo-Bo-Bo bogies? This one looks like Co-Co. And 4 sanders per bogie. Why?

No, this is not a trend. The panto of the rear loco is raised (or lowered) depending upon the gradient and load hauled. There are specific instructions to drivers about how to operate mued locos in various sections.

Trailing WAG-7 is dead. In one of the other Nagari snaps also the trailing WAG-5 was dead. Trend?

Beautiful! This is Ekambarakuppam-Vepagunta section(of AJJ-RU line). The signal is positioned in such a way so that the pilot can view its aspect without the ROB's interference.

I suspect that "AJJ" and "DaRe" in Hindi was painted in BSL before it was transferred to AJJ shed. Nearly all the AJJ locos that I have come across have very poor Hindi writing. Also missing is the mention of the gear ratio.
