Sonalium Station. DTH operators have stiff competition here :) I saw brands such as BigTV, DishTV and DD's DTH service in staff quarters here.
A view from the assistant loco pilots seat of the Kulem Home Signal.. The aspect is on.
The longest catch siding in the Braganza Ghat.. this can accomodate 58 boxn wagons and the entire consists of penta headed locomotives.
As we pull into Kulem, the sight of two frieghters ready for climbing up the ghats was very pleasing.. man.. they roared as we neared them..
WDG4 12057 shows true courage and heads up the ghats pusing a BCNA rake.
Kulem.. a true Indian railway station.. calm - only to be interrupted by the locomotive sounds and horns.

Another very lively shot.. a herd of cows graze on the platform, a guy fills water, a pair of diesels silently whistling.
WDP4 20059 brings in the Vasco Chennai Express. The Khalasi runs to shoo away the herd that was grazing on the platform.
I was dippified when it honked as it went past me. The horn on the SHF is really scary!

Travelling in the banker loco was quite an experience which I can never forget... as we went through the tunnels, smoke along with the heat exhausts from the locos were filling inside the cab.. here is a scene as we exited out from the tunnel. Imagine w
As the night prepares to appear, the light slowly begins to fade. Here is an evening shot of the ghats.
Good Morning on 3rd October 2008. A freighter comes into Castle Rock station.
WDG3A 14700 and 14656 with a single coach accident relief train at Castle Rock. This train had earlier delivered materials down the ghats.
