Although our visit was based at Ratnagiri, we detrained at Adavali, two stations further south. This extra trip was to study the area for suitable vantage points. A prearranged Sumo taxi picked us up at Adavali. On the way back to Ratnagiri, the taxi drove us through Nivsar station where we were to visit the next day.
We arrived just in time to shoot the arrival of this northbound BCNHL rake hauled by Gooty WDG4 #12266. Following the EMD is a dead GOC WDM2 # 16879.
