Karan, there is a service of DHR in Darjeeling-Batasia Loop-Ghoom-Darjeeling section which is regularly done by steam locos.

OK, if disgusting seems like a strong word, I still say it is unfair on the part of IR. Thousands of tourists will read about "World Heritage" DHR and its legendary steam locos (Wikipedia article shows all steam locos only) and when they arrive you give...
OK, if disgusting seems like a strong word, I still say it is unfair on the part of IR. Thousands of tourists will read about "World Heritage" DHR and its legendary steam locos (Wikipedia article shows all steam locos only) and when they arrive you give them these ugly diesels. If I was cheated this way, I'd never ever come there again, and would also tell everyone I know not to go there.
