Very well said Mr Buddhisagar. From left to right, the first two are the side gravity and side bearing foundations and the last two i reckon are the pure gravity foundations. The taller of the two is used in loose soils i guess.

The third from the left is used in black cotton soil as the abbreviation suggests.

I don't think anybody said that electrification does not require effort - only that these efforts are misplaced in most cases on the likes of negative ROR branch lines and single line low density routes. Anyway why get touchy and take these things personally when they are discussed for academic interest only on the list/forum?
