SKZR............Is there are OHE shed in SKZR?

That is because this small wagon cannot bear the buffing(slack-in and slack-out)forces when coupled in between two coaches/goods wagons and is prone to derail. It will be put behind a 75/100 kmph goods train after the caboose and yes, that unlucky driver has to not exceed 60 kph. They won't hook this wagon to stopping passengers even ! Most of these OHE cars are self-propelled.

For exactly the same reason (forces created by slack) and as a general rule, 4 wheeler stock is never marshalled in a consist where it is between 2 8 wheelers. It is ok for 2 or more 4 wheelers to be between 8 wheeler stock but not for a single 4 wheeler. Of course all of this is almost irrelevant these days given that only block rakes are run by IR - as against mixed freights in the early days.

And needless to say SC station continues to impress with its spic and span look. Hats of to those guys! Wish other large city stations would take cue..
