Of course all of this is almost irrelevant these days given that only block rakes are run by IR - as against mixed freights in the early days.

That is because this small wagon cannot bear the buffing(slack-in and slack-out)forces when coupled in between two coaches/goods wagons and is prone to derail.It will be put behind a 75/100 kmph goods train after the caboose and yes,that unlucky driver has to not exceed 60 kph.They won't hook this wagon to stopping passengers even ! Most of these OHE cars are self-propelled.
