I initially thought the loco was a WDP4. Are these changes done by loco sheds, or are they done by DLW?

Well, well .... Alco meets EMD, and after all these years, it took an Indian company to do that .... :-) The rounded lines of the cab give it an appearance similar to WDP-4 #20012 'Baaz'. I wonder if the end-on cab is an improvement since LHF running will now be a pain on this loco.

According to me, this is a terrible looking loco, an unwanted modification to WDM X series. So sad they defaced it this way

And the headlights are at the /less effective/ waist level !! I wonder how a top headlamp WDP/G4 will look like.

Also notice the green lamp on top of the driver's window. The roof is quite high; may be IR will add an AC(?).
