Sneak Peek: The new boss of Sapthagiri Express getting ready inside AJJ Shed. AJJ Lightning Strokes not painted yet. (poochivenk

I am glad to see my favourite loco given a different paint job. It looks far better in this livery than the present looking GZB & AJJ WAP1 and equally gorgeous like the dark grey WAP1 Jawahar of the 80's and 90's.

Manish, it's MPS is 130kph but it has hauled 9 coach Bhopal Shatabdi at 140kph too. Railfans have footplated it and have experienced the 140kph run.

Nice colour scheme. The red at the bottom adds the perfect finish.

@Arzan : Is this loco capable of 140 kmph?

Looks so much like the WAP-3 locomotive but in a different colour. (http://www.irfca.org/gallery/Locos/Electric/wap1_3_6/WAP3_22005KanpurCentral28-2-92.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1)

Thanks for the WAP1 coverage Poochi. It looks simply looks gorgeous and this loco should be assigned to 2001A/2002A Bhopal Shatabdi Express. How lovely it will look zipping pasts stations at 140kph.

Paint scheme on the sides. I've requested the engineers at AJJ to paint those lightning strokes in yhr front also. (poochivenkat

Now we can compare the erstwhile WAP4 shell with the Sapthagiri liveried one!

They've gone about painting the Compartment Oval windows also alternatively!
Is this the only WAP1 to get this Livery?

Do Sapthagiri coaches have SG capability? If so, why is the Hotel Load required?
