The link has been uprgaded..it has soo many stops that it requires heavey breaking and quick movements. A WAP 1 was used for some time before it became a standard WAP 4 ritual. Since a WAP 1 and a WAM 4 don't have much of a difference, a WAP 4 was brought in. Even a WAP 7 is pretty able for this train ;-) !!

Very very dramatic! Looks like two beasts facing each other and ready to start battle!

Yeah I am checking more pictures now. I think it was an observational error on part of me.

Samar, which rivets are you talking about? The ones that flank the markers or the ones above? Even locos as far as 22580 have both those rivets, AFAIK only around 226xx series do the rivets become non-existent. Even 22380/90 have these rivets from the beginning.

The loco appears to me that it underwent a shell replacement in later part of its life. Also the rivetting is well visible near the markers which used to be not part of 3xx generation of WAP4s, at least the later half.

AFAIK 22370 has always been with ED.

Every alternate Saturday the 2607 (Lalbagh Exp) gets a LGD WAP-4 regularly as its link.
