Sunny,the WDS4b has three sets of wheels.From a distance it looks like four because one is a flywheel which runs the other three sets with the help of shafts(not sure the name given to them-same drive as used in a steam loco).

A Very good lateral veiw of the Loco. It seems to have 4 sets of wheels.By the design it seems that this Loco can really cut sharp corners. It is a pity that it is used only for shunting and not for sharp corners in Hilly areas.

I am very happy to see the humble WDS 4 in action. Basically it being a 700 HP this is where the starting point of Indian Locomotives Industry comes. Has no Electric Motors , direct transfer of power to the AXLE by VOITH HYDROLIC system.
