SukiSince the WDSs invariably have railway men ride the catwalk, getting in and out of the loco while shunting, I guess the extra railing helps them. Provides them more secure poles to hold on to. RanganathThe classification is not partly painted, but has faded due to some greasy substance on it. I agree with Apurva that many shunters have additional railings. I have seen them at the Vizag port with these railings. Posted by Guest on 2004 Jan 22 06:02:52 +0000 |

The WDS6 locos, have a standard lievry, irrespective of their sheds, like other loco sheds...Eg, Erode has its own unique livery etc. Kalyan shed WDS6s also have a similar livery, however, a handful of them have been painted in a new maroon livery.
