Very clean LGD WAP-4# 22606 taking rest at Mumbai Central. The locos behind LGD WAP-4 are BRC WAP-4# 22813, BL WCAM-1# 21845, BR

Anamitra. There was a thread in the forum, of a circular from RB about the allotment of WAP5s to BRC. In that PDF, there was a clear mention of using ED/RPM WAP4s on the SWM BCT section for BCT JP express. I see it practically implemented today (ofcourse - offlink with LGD).

Anamitra, you are right, its an offlink today. RPM and ED WAP-4's are regular links for Chennai Jaipur Superfast. Along with BRC WAP-4E's, we will now be seeing GZB, RPM and ED WAP4 too. Today crimson red coloured GZB WAP-4# 22334 took charge of 12953 August Kranti Rajdhani. Just looking fabulous with LHB raj livery.

What is the loco link of Chennai Jaipur Superfast? Isn't it RPM/ED? If so, that train itself got an offlink.

One reason for the WCAM1's MPS of 100 kmph is its length - higher speeds causes it to vibrate. This was told to me by a railway official many years back.
