HT stands for High Tone. There are two horns in most of the locos. High Tone and Low Tone.

If you look very carefully, it is a WAG-5 loco. Wonder which shed it belongs to!

What are the diagonal white and red stripes on the front of the loco ? Are they indicative of some feature or are just for cosmetic looks ?
I have seen similar red and white stripes on disel locos in the United States. Here the stripes formed an inverted V shape on the front of the loco.
