Some more on the loco and the photo - The paint job and contour shaping of this loco was designed solely by Mr. Dasarathy. This is the last loco he officially flagged off before leaving railways. He named this loco "Baaz" to give it a more masculine name, than the regular feminine names. Note the superb angle and lighting in which he has taken the photo. This loco was rear-ended by a WDS4 near the Lajpat Nagar home signal on the 25th of January night. The WDS4 had overshot the outer signal but the day (or rather the night) could still have been saved had the all essential marker lamps of the WDP1 been working - they were not!
