Notice the word "Metre Gauge" written in Devnagari Script on top of the coach workshop. I wonder if the gauge size is usually mentioned.

The middle script is clearly in Oriya, not usually prevalent in the state in which the Kanhan-Ramtek line is present (Maharashtra).

The blue-liveried train appears to have CR markings on it, suggesting that this would be the 2129/2130 Azad Hind express - right?

Yea that's right, there is an elevated seat within the car from where one can look out from this canpoy & monitor pantograph contact & movement along the catenary.

As you can see, the guard was not very pleased and questioned me. After hearing words such as
"rail enthusiast" and "unofficial fan club/website", he became relaxed and I could see a smile on his face.
He said at the end "that is welcome, but you probably need official permission".

This looks like a Kharagpur loco to me. Santragachhi has only an electric shed.
