I do not think the loco is dirty. It is just that the paint job is pretty bad. Yes, it is a converted WAP-1 and they are gorgeous!

ET WAM4 at CDG

I too have never seen bankers here at least from 1998 onwards. Even in the diesel days of Kalka Shatabdi there were no bankers. Why have they been introduced? I can see a WAP 5/7 hauled train in the background. Is it Paschim Exp?

Nice photo in a overcast environment. I am 100% sure the train is 2980 JAIPUR BDTS SUPERFAST EXPRESS. There was a name plate also mentioning 2979 MUMBAI-JAIPUR-MUMBAI on that train. It was late running on that day otherwise it would have passed Kelve Road before 2926 PASCHIM EXP.

Thanks a lot Jimmy for your encouraging words. This train I have traveled only once from Vapi to Virar & I have really enjoyed a great 105+kph run in 1995. The train passed at 70kph due to a green signal given by the station master in the last minute allowing the driver to apply brakes & making it pass at slow speed. The level crossing at Saphale was closed 10minutes before this train had passed.

Rear view mirrors for the WCAM2! But they seem to be only on this side of the loco. Also, 21873 seemed to be quite busy that day! first with the Karnavati and then the Rajdhani special!

Looks like Mughal Sarai is trying hard to compete with Ghaziabad.
