The Shakuntala is highly patronized owing to its low fare, and connectivity to interiors in Yavatamal region. All the coaches are packed. Posted by PVS Praveen Kumar on 2007 Sep 01 02:34:07 +0000 |

Thanks for sharing these treasures. Could you scan the schedules for Mayavaram - Peralam - Karaikkal section? I traveled on this line way back in 1973. Posted by Mani Vijay on 2007 Aug 31 12:18:00 +0000 |

Appu, I am very sure that that is a part of the old NG permanent way. Some more of small embankments can be found in Krishnagiri (of Tirupattur-Krishnagiri line). I hope the Bangalore gang will go to Hosur and Krishnagiri one day and dig up the remains in the same way as the Pune gang did on the Miraj line. I had tried my level best years back. All I could find is that most of the furniture in Govt. offices are made of unearthed sleepers of this line!! Posted by Jimmy Jose on 2007 Aug 31 05:03:28 +0000 |
