On lesser used (unimportant) lines in a track circuited yard, rust formation on rail top causes non-detection of wheel due to poor electrical contact with the rail. Zig zag welding reduces the area and increases the pressure of contact. This helps in better electrical contact to trip the track circuit.

Ranjeet, on the rectangle board of KYN WCAM3 21945 the train name is Guwahati LTT Express. On that day Guwahati LTT Express was running at least 3-4hours late.
