Any specific reason for the concrete based tracks instead of the normal ballast based? Is this arrangement only in this section or over entire MRTS routes?

Sad tale coming about.."Electrification!!", Well I remember the good old days of the MAS being oly line for electrification. Hennur and chennasandra are diesel territory!!Though this new happening coming bout,diesel will still rule here coz this arrangement made just that WAG7/5's can haul right upto YNK instead of customary KJM change to diesel power just for bout 16-20 km of run!.
