Yes I did that on purpose. I wanted to get that background with the signal blurred. The positioning of signals in such ghat sections really catches my attention!

Yes. Avoids reversal at BPL Jn for freight traffic coming from BINA and headed towards Ujjain & Nagda.

Colin, this is the famous 445 km KK line from Kirandul in Chattisgarh to Kottavalasa in AP. This falls under ECoR and runs through 3 states - AP, Orissa and Chattisgarh. The location from where this picture has been taken is Araku, a famous tourist destination. Araku(about 900 metres above the sea level) is in AP whereas the next station, Gorapur, is in Orissa.This is a single electric line with MPS in this section being 55 kmph. Abhijnan Ray
