SH-SPI

This is a Shunting Permitted Indicator (SPI) and works in conjunction with a stop signal or a shunt signal. The SPI shows a yellow cross illuminated by light and authorises the Driver to shunt past the associated stop/shunt signal in the ‘On’ position. A proceed hand signal must always be shown at the signal.

Amazing picture Vivek!! The soft sun, early morning haze and slight gradient seen at the end of the rake adds to the effect.

The loco looks so cute and innocent with its "BIG" eyes. It seems he is suprised to see a camera pointing towards him!!

Why are the two monsters pushing the baby from behind? Or is it that both are running with wrong-end-front (equivalent to today's LHF in WDP4).

Similar case as the previous loco. Was this paint scheme of Jodhpur shed? I suppose it is a hang over from the days of the Jodhpur Railway?

Can someone identify why this YGP was so brightly coloured? Was it used on Palace on Wheels? or some specials?
