So nice to see 15505 in her early days. I think this photo was shot sometime in 2001 or so. Just a few months into our marriage, I used to go to Egmore with my wife for loco spotting, I used to explain to my wife that this loco is different than the ones found elsewhere. Later WDP 3A's had the Diesel Shakti livery.

On a sad note, I feel sorry for this loco since it has been scrapped. Thanks a million, Anand for this priceless picture

M is Madras. The other popular board is B - Beach. People travelling through western and northern suburban systems still refer an Up EMUs as 'M'adras unit or 'B'each unit
